Christmas Food Drive

We would like to extend a big thank you to all members that supported our Annual Christmas Food Drive.

We gave $750.00 to the Food Bank, who bought new coats (& maybe a few toys) for the 200 families we help during the season each year. Thank you for your generous donations, this is so appreciated.

Treasure Mills Food Co. (suppliers of nut-free school treats) donated 42 cases of chocolate chip cookies. Treasure Mills have donated cakes, cookies, and snacks each year, thank you.

Lake owners, each year, donate so many gifts of clothing, games, hats, mitts, etc. – such wonderful generosity.

Another generous supporter has given, every year, 60-70 cases of tomato sauce, sugar, coffee, pasta, cereals, flour…too many to list! Again, big thanks.

The amazing work of the Food Bank & St. Vincent de Paul in Midland helps hundreds of families in our area who need a little help. Other companies in Midland helping include Walmart (all coats/toys sold at cost), Foodland (donates 200 turkeys each year), Loblaws (donates all vegetables), Dempster’s (donate bread), and many more who make their donations with cash contributions.

These families are so appreciative of the help and support of us all. Each child has the chance to choose one toy they would really like to receive, and every effort is made to purchase it for them.

Thank you everyone,

SMLRA Board of Directors
